Herbs cafe

On Sunday we went to ‘Herbs cafe’ in Churton Park. We liked it a lot and will be visiting more often.

Beside the cafe and Teddy bear house is a herb shop where I found so many treasures! We took home an Arthritis herb which is called Gotu kola or Indian pennywort (Centella asiatica).

At home I potted it into an empty ice-cream box since this herb loves water.

It is said that daily eaten 2 fresh leaves of Gotu kola will bring relief from arthritis. In India it is also consumed as vegetable or in salads.

I gave it a go and added some leaves to my goat cheese-olive-garlic-mix. Yum!

And I also added some leaves to my cheese pancake with onion weed (Allium triquetrum).

The taste of Gotu kola reminds me somehow of watercress but is milder. If you want to know more about it, please click here.
