Autumn child

On my birthday I was greeted with a candlelight heart!

And a yummy chocolate cake decorated with a spiral! This will be another great year of my life!

I am so happy and thankful for all we managed. Now I am excited to greet a new year in my 40′s
(The next picture was taken by Aileen)

Actually I was born in spring, but since we changed the hemisphere I amĀ an Autumn child now.

Now I can enjoy toadstools instead of “Maigloeckchen” (Lily of the valley in English)

What a wonderful world!

So much to discover, learn and give. I wish you all a great jorney!
Bushwalk
David and I went for an adventure and discovered a new path.

As you see it looks pretty wild and I suppose not many people use the track. I found only one foot print of an adultĀ as well as some dog paw prints.
If you haven’t seen David’s head in the upper picture, here I caught up with him

Oh he is such an adventurer like his mum
Autumn celebrations!

Autumn finally hit New Zealand in her best robe. Colourful trees are turning the green Island into a joyful artwork.

Everywhere basket fungus is popping up and leaves a trail of funny white frames all over the Autumn floor.

There are also other mushrooms looking curious around under the warm autumn sun.

May is the month where I celebrate my birthday with my youngest son. David has just turned Four and enjoyed a special day with a lot of fun. His birthday cake was a delicious butter-, chocolate-, sponge-roll- choo – choo

We also made a trip over the Rimutaka into beautiful Wairarapa. There we loaded our car full with fruits, veggies and free range eggs from the farmers in Carterton.

In Featherstone I saw my first surgical theater on wheels!!!

That’s so awesome! New Zealand is just fantastic!!!!

There are more and more surprises in this beautiful country, and I am so happy to enjoy an awesome warm and colourful Autumn.
Magnificent day

Greeted by a rainbow we made a walk through the Autumn breeze.
All berries of the holly trees in our area are red now.

Some trees like poplar and this willow turn yellow and let there leaves fly through the sunshine.

We also found this magnificent hawthorn!

Never in my live I saw such a big hawthorn tree! In our country they grow only up to 5 meter and the trunk is 5-10 cm in diameter. And here in New Zealand they grow up to 10 meters!!! And look at this big trunk!

Just amazing!
Rainbow
This beautiful rainbow greeted us in the morning.

It was curious since we had no rain, but we could watch rain pouring down on the other side of the village.
When Aileen was at school I finished my withe piece for the Milkweed project.

Then David and I had a nice trip to the forest. He sure screamed excited when he saw this mushrooms

What a beautiful country. Every day we wake up to an autumn breeze of fresh antarctic wind and in the evening we can watch an awesome sunset. This is just paradise… one of many on this planet I guess
